Welcome

On behalf of the Local Organising Committee, I warmly invite you to participate in the 51th Biometric Conference of the German Region of the International Biometric Society which will be held from 21-23 March 2005 in Halle (Saale). Only one year after the admission of Poland into the European Union we are very happy and proud that some members of the Polish Region will join our conference. The Local Organising Committee and the Scientific Programme Committee are working hard to set up an interesting scientific programme that meets the demands of present day biometrics. We look forward to seeing you all in Halle.
